About Our Ranch

Pinecone Mountain Horses is a small ranch located near Forsyth in eastern Montana.

We raise AQHA (and a couple APHA) horses mostly in the discipline of

RCH, cutting, as well as roping and ranch horses.

Our mission at Pinecone Mountain Horses is to live a dream

of raising quality horses during our retirement years.

How Pinecone Mountain Horses began

Pinecone Mountain Horses began in 2011 with the purchase of a couple mares,

then a stallion, then more mares....

Over time stallions have changed as well as mares improving the quality of both.

We have raised our current stallion & many of our brood mares.

The name comes from one of our grandsons calling the hill behind our house pinecone mountain as we gathered many pinecones at the site.
